New generation office emergency lighting combines state-of-the-art LED, electronic and mechanical design, choice of 14 to 75 Watt models, indoor or overhang applications

The ActiveLED^® OL4-SME fixture combines a dimmable office light fixture with an Emergency Light into one elegant ActiveLED system solution.
With its built-in emergency backup battery pack and charger the OL4-SME will run off emergency battery power for up to three hours after the AC power is cut. And since it is designed to replace legacy emergency lighting, an LED battery status light and Push-To-Test Button (PTT) are clearly visible and accessable from outside the fixture.

The OL4-SME Surface Mounted Emergency Ceiling Light is designed for office, hall way, stairwell and workspace lighting with low power consumption - see table for details.
The OL4-SME fixture consumes at least 50-85 percent less energy than conventional lighting and additional energy savings can be achieved with the optional lighting management. For example; deploying the optional motion / occupancy sensor to dim the OL4 fixture down to level 40 when there is no occupancy activity reduces power consumption by an additional 91%.

With its patented design and superior LED elements, the ActiveLED Surface-Mounted Emergency Ceiling Lighting is a reliable light source with a 90,000-hour lumen life, making it a maintenance-free solution for applications where changing bulbs and ballasts can be hazardous or difficult.

Significant savings from not having to maintain and replace ballasts and fluorescent tubes in light fixtures, as well as reduced heat generation and energy use, justify the initial outlay.

ActiveLED^® OL4-SME Series Product Overview

Ringdale provides a comprehensive range of ActiveLED Surface-Mounted Emergency Ceiling Light Fixtures with different wattages for varying applications.
The OL4-SME Series products are substantially the ActiveLED OL4 series of 2x4 Recessed Ceiling Lights but in a surface-mounted configuration.
OL4-SME fixtures include support for the ActiveLED Digital Management capability as standard and a choice of CCT color temperatures to suit most applications (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K):

ActiveLED^® OL4-SME Installation Process

Installing the OL4-SME Surface Mount fixture is an easy-to-follow nine-step process.

STEP	DESCRIPTION
(1)	Unpack the fixture from its shipping box, remove the two screws securing the LED Pan from the Top Housing and release two hinge screws two turns, hinge-open the fixture.
(2)	For convenience of installation, remove the battery box (four screws, battery packs are shipped with cable disconnected) and set aside, then unplug the LED wiring harness from the power supply.
(3)	Remove completely the two hinge screws from the side of the fixture to remove the LED Pan from the Top Housing, safely set screws aside.
(4)	Attach the Top Housing to the ceiling structure, using either the J-Box compatible mounting holes or the corner-mounting holes. Pull AC line wires through the center knock-out.
(5)	Physically reinstall the battery pack and connect the 4-conductor cable.
(6)	Reuse the two hinge screws to reattach the Top Housing to the LED Pan.
(7)	Thread the AC line feed into the Lid and attach to the ActiveLED power supply / driver using wire nuts.
(8)	Reconnect LED harness to Power Supply, reconnect DC power cable to battery pack. and carefully close the fixture ensuring no cables or wires are pinched, reinstall the two retaining screws.
(9)	Verify that the external LED indicator is functioning, test emergency operation by pushing-in and holding the Test Button.
